(Psyconaut didn't really blame Oracle. She was right in not trusting him. He reached in his back pants pocket and pulled out the all too familiar headband. He dropped it to the ground and kicked it softly to Oracle. The headband's look was different than the ones that were on Christina's and Jack's heads. This was obviously the headband that empowered Psychonaut during the fight in the U.N.)
Psychonaut: If I really wanted you two dead, don't you think I would have been using this against you two?

Keiy winced as the sharpened metal bars passed right through him. He pushed passed Kitty and charged Marcus and Count, using his wings to give him a speed boost. Keiy slammed into Marcus with his injured shoulder. Keiy's eyes blurred as he held in a scream. Marcus stumbled backwards. He looked into the young boy's eyes as they collided. He could see the demon in his old friend. A spark of sliver flashing in the pupils of his eyes. He had a fleeting moment of fear, so he did the most instinctive thing that he could think of, he grabbed Keiy by his collar and threw him behind him. He watched with frustration as Keiy slowly rose to his feet. "God, he doesn't quit." Marcus said as he readied his revolver and fired the rest of the round into his opponent's stomach. As he watched him fall to the ground. Keiy felt the other three bullets hit his stomach. He saw the ground rise up to meet him as he blacked out from the pain.

Christina picked up the headband and looked at it carefully. It was the same; she was shocked. She looked back up at Psychonaut, almost in disbelief that he could be telling the truth.
Christina: And... why are you so anxious to betray the Sovereigns all of a sudden?

(Count watched as Keiy collapsed on the ground. He turned his attention back to Shadowcat and Iceman. He began walking slowly toward their direction.)
Count: Then there were two.
(He figured Shadowcat must have been getting tired of overusing her phasing powers. Count teleported behind Kitty and gave her a kick to her back. Iceman created an ice stalagmite and threw it fiercely at Count. With a swift move of his sword, he cut the stalagmite in two, then it fell harmlessly on the ground. Meanwhile, Psychonaut began approaching Oracle slowly.)
Psychonaut: I'm sorry, but its personal. Look, if you help me now, I'll return the favor one day, some how.
(Psychonaut did another mind scan of the battlefield, only to find that one more X-man had fallen. He looked at Oracle, now even more desperate.)
Psychonaut: Looks like another friend of yours has been defeated. If we don't hurry, Count will be on his way to the subbasement and we will all be paying the price... He wanted me to use the main computer to activate the Mansion's self-destruct. If you please just let me use Cerebro, I'll pretend I've done my part of the job. We will then leave, including Count, without question.

Christina bit her bottom lip, a sure tell sign that she was nervous about the situation. He seemed to be telling the truth, but he could just be a very good liar. Christina also didn't like the fact that someone else had fallen upstairs. It looked as if the odds weren't going in her favor. She felt a comforting hand touch her shoulder and looked over her shoulder to see Storm with concerned eyes. She was also worried about the fight going on upstairs. So she lightly nodded her head and stepped aside for Psychonaut to enter Cerebro. Christina exhaled deeply before doing the same. She kept her head down, almost in shame for allowing him walk by. But as he walked right in front of her, she grabbed his shoulder and shoved him against the wall. She maintained her clawing grip and her blue irises began to turn violet as she spoke.
Christina: You have one minute. Don't try anything funny or stupid. And after you're done, you and your little band of bandits leave immediately with no more tricks, and you owe me, big time! Got it?!

Kitty fell to the floor as she was swiftly kicked in the back. She was already getting sore and didn't have the strength to get back up right away. She picked her head up and saw Keiy still lying on the floor bleeding. She needed to get to him fast, but with Bobby being the only one still up he was outnumbered two to one. Kitty looked around her and also saw the knives she had taken from Talia close by. A small desparate plan came to mind.
Shadowcat: Bobby, help Keiy. Switch opponents.
Kitty could tell that Bobby thought she was crazy for planning to take on Count still lying on the floor. Kitty gave a quick look for him to trust her as she quickly began to roll to her right. Iceman turned around and shot an icebeam at Marcus to hold him in place while he went to check on Keiy. Kitty rolled once and grabbed as many knives in one hand as she could. She received a few cuts on her hand herself, but that didn't matter. As she rolled onto her back she threw the knives as hard as she could at Count. Kitty figured that the odds were that at least one of them could get him.

(Count was about to teleport to aide Marcus against Iceman, when one of the knives struck Count in his back. He gave a cry of pain, and reached for the knife. He grabbed it and threw it viciously to the ground. He walked to the the direction where the knives came and spotted Shadowcat. He began slowly walking toward Shadowcat. He was limping a little, but beside that and the burned wound on his left arm that he received from Keiy, he was perfectly fine.)
Count: These are the great X-men I've heard so much about? What's more pathetic is thinking, how in the hell did Sara lose to you people!
(Meanwhile, Psychonaut gave a confident nod to Oracle. After she let go, Psychonaut walked over to the entrance of Cerebro. He typed the codes on the keypad and the door opened. He ran over to the Cerebro console and grabbed the headband. All of a sudden, the idea of asking Oracle to borrow the Sovereign headband to temporarily increase his psychic powers crossed his mind. This would allow him to do the search faster. He turned around, only the look on Oracle's face made him ignored the idea. It would break the tiny trust they already had. He placed the headband on his head and immediately felt its immense power. He began focusing all his mind power on the person he was looking for. After a few moments he began to feel dizzy, he was about to lose it, when he found the person's location. He quickly removed Cerebro and fell to his knees. It wasn't because he felt tired from using the machine, but because he was empowered with emotion. He was almost in the verge of tears. He looked up to Oracle and Storm.)
Psychonaut: She's alive, she's in Prague, Czech Republic. My mother is alive.

Christina felt moved when she saw that Psychonaut was looking for his mother. She remember Sara talking about their mother and how she didn't approve of the Sovereigns. For Psychonaut to be search for his mother, maybe there was hope for redemption for him. But Christina was getting worried for everyone upstairs as more time passed.
Christina: Ok, not meaning to rush you on a serious moment here, but you did mention that someone was in serious trouble upstairs.

"I wouldn't do that if I where you." Marcus said as he approached Bobby. One of his wings was slightly encased in ice. He flexed it and the ice fell off in chunks. He jumped and with a few flaps of his wings he landed beside his once-friend. He grabbed Keiy and threw him up against the mansion wall. He holstered his revolver and pulled out his other hand gun. He fired a couple of shots at Iceman. "Tag your it!" Marcus said.

(He stood up and began rubbing his eyes. He looked at Oracle and remembered the situation they were in.)
Psychonaut: Yes, it was the boy that was fighting against Marcus. We have to hurry if you are to save him.
(The three of them broke into a run toward the elevator. Once they reached the elevator, Psyhonaut stopped and looked at the two X-men.)
Psychonaut: Once we are upstairs, we are enemies once again. Let's just say, I hope you two are good at acting.
(He smiled at the two as they waited for the elevator doors to open. Meanwhile, Count reached and grabbed Shadowcat. He rose her and looked into her eyes. He began to see quick flashes of her recent life. The battle at Alcatraz, the Sandstormer's mansion, the battle with the Four Horsemen and Apocalypse, even the recent battle at the U.N. He saw something that interested him most. He looked at Shadowcat and sneered.)
Count: So.. you are the one that saved the cure boy in Alcatraz?

Emily only heard count's initial insult and spat on the ground at his feet, "Ave. is way better than you'll ever be." Count was odd colors to her, he seemed warm... but cold. His heat spots looked different than a normal heat spot. The mixture of heat colors confused her even more than his smile had. Her shoulder was still weeping slightly and she couldn't do anything but watch.

Kitty clutched at Count's hand, but looked him straight in the eyes as she answered him.
Shadowcat: That's right.
Kitty wasn't sure where Count was going with this, but she tensed herself for whatever it could be.

Christina: Just head back up by yourself saying you defeated us. We'll head back up after you guys leave. Now hurry, go.

Psychonaut: I guess that can work too...
(The elevator doors opened and he walked inside. As the doors began to close, he gave a smile to the two X-men. He waited, tapping his foot anxiously for the doors to open again. The moment they opened, he raced out of the elevator and out of the mansion. The first thing he did was looked at to where Count was. He ran and over to where he was standing.)
Psychonaut: The job is done, Count. We have less than two minute to get out of here.
(Count turned his head to Psychonaut.)
Count: I will only need a few seconds. In the meantime, go get your girlfriend of yours.
(Psychonaut nodded and ran over to where Talia was laying. He grabbed her and placed her on his back. He turned to Marcus who was dealing with Keiy.)
Psyhonaut: Marcus, we have to go. The timer is set and if we don't go, the explosion will be powerful enough to kill us all, even you.
(After Psychonaut left, Count turned his attention back to Shadowcat.)
Count: I'm not going to kill you. If that was what you were expecting. No, I'm going to do something worse. I'm going to let you live. I'm going to let you live, knowing that you failed to beat me, failed to protect your friends, and failed at avenging the life of the cure boy.... Have a nice life.
(At this, he gave her a soft slap with the back of his hand, just to ridicule her. The hand had a ring with the Latin words, quid umquam capit; it read Whatever it Takes in English. The ring was similar to that of Jack's, only Count's was an black onyx ring. He dropped Shadowcat on the ground and teleported to where Emily was. He looked at the girl, she was brave, but something told him she wasn't really bright.)
Count: You are persistent, aren't you? You're half-dead, but you can't seem to shut up.

She glared at him, she couldn't get away now even if she had the energy. The current fear she felt seized her throat and stopped what little thought process was left, "Avriletta always said: Persistance gets you many things..." they may not be good, but persistance is the sorce Emily finnished in her head, she couldn't think of what else to say. She had failed to fight back with actions... and all she had left, at the moment, was words.
