Avriletta noticed Jack didn't say anything when the man died. She didn't care if the others lived or died, not really. Too many had suffered her hand for her to make note of it; however, this man had fought so hard to be just a footnote in the blank pages of this buildings history.
The winged woman cut the man free and laid him next to the window. VIDEO she wrote on the wall with her nail, and moved out of the room after Jack.

(Jack looked at Avriletta and he just signed. The Sentinels made him worry about the safety of his team. He needed to contact the rest of his team. If he was killed, they would be able to finish Sara off. Jack began to concentrate on contacting Liz, but he stopped. Jack had no idea if she had finished off Wolf, and thus feared if contacting her would result in a deadly mistake. He placed his hand on his temple and began focusing his mind on Kitty. Once he found her, he sent a telepathic message.)
Kitty, its Jack.

Meanwhile at the Xavier mansion in New Salem...
Kitty, Bobby, and Ororo were working on the ground floor. Ororo used her powers over the wind to blow most of the debris outside where Kitty's trusty dragon Lockheed perceeded to burn the debris down to ashes. That leaving Bobby to picking up the still fairly large pieces of destroyed furniture and Kitty to sweep up the mess. Kitty continued sweeping until she heard Jack's voice calling in her head. Because the team had a strong bond with one another, it didn't surprise her that much to hear him. But the distance was still extraordinary. Bobby noticed when Kitty's behavior suddenly changed.
Iceman: Kitty, you alright?
Shadowcat: Oh yeah, it's just Jack calling. Excuse me for a minute.
The others continued with the cleaning as Kitty stopped to close her eyes and concentrate on projecting her thoughts to Jack.
Jack, I hear you. Are you and your team okay?

(Jack was glad that he had managed to contact Kitty. Still maintaining his connection, he began to explain the situation to Kitty.)
My team is fine, but things are pretty brutal over here. We're working with police officers, but most of the one's with me are now dead. The Sovereigns seemed too prepared for our offensive attack. They knew we were coming, its the only explanation. I need back up from you and some of the others to get over here to L.A immediately.
(Jack kept himself under control since he had been under equal or even more critical situations. While he waited for Kitty to answer him, Jack looked at Avriletta and smiled, as if trying to tell her everything was going to be alright.)

Kitty was afraid of telling Jack what had happened here. But she knew that he would hear of it eventually. Better to hear it from her.
We were attacked here at the Xavier mansion. Count had returned, and Emily was kidnapped. But everyone else here is okay and recovering. But we'll leave immediately, and get there as soon as we can.

(Once Kitty told Jack what had happened at the mansion, the pretentious smile on his face disappeared. He automatically wanted to know more on what had happened, but he still had to finish the mission. He had one last question to ask Kitty that he needed to know.)
Any word on Liz?

Yeah, she's okay. I'm not sure how the fight turned out, but Liz seems fine. She's taking care of Tiffany who was injuried here.

Pavati just watched this unfold, her eyes trained on Jack. The feeling of something trying to escape her body was getting stronger and it had her really freaked out. She tried reaching out to her spirit animal and found that she couldn't even feel it close to her which only scared her further. Unfortunately, the fear was showing on her face and she didn't know it.

(Before Jack ended the psychic connection, he sent Kitty direct mental information of the coordinates of the Sovereign base into her head. He blinked his eyes and the psychic connection was lost. Jack turned to his teammates to see if they were ready to continue on. He noticed that something was troubling Pavati. He walked over to her, a concerned look on his face.)

Avriletta noticed Pavati's expresion. She hadn't known the girl for more than a day or so... and even then Ave. had slept through most of it. "Pavati." Avriletta walked over to her and put her hand on the young woman's shoulder, "We'll be okay, try not to show your emotions as much... it's harder to detatch from the situation at hand" she said it gently; however, a smile seemed innapropriate so she gave a serious look.
"Jack whatever it is we can deal with it later... I've cleared the next few floors of people. We should get going." Avriletta's hand rested softly on Pavati's shoulder.

Pavati turned to Avriletta and let out a snarl, her upper lip drawn back. She shrugged the hand away and moved away from the winged woman and started to follow Jack. They were wrong. She had been in worse situations than this so this really didn't bother her. However, this feeling had her worried. She could only hope that she could get in contact with her father before midnight.

(Jack didn't know what was wrong with Pavati, but he decided he would figure it all out once this was over. He lead the group into the stairway and began climbing until they reached the 30th floor. Jack noticed the keypad that controlled the security system. He entered the code that Avriletta had mentioned earlier. The light above the door changed from red to green, indicating that it was now safe to enter the room. Jack opened the door and the group walked inside the dark hallway. The moment they stepped inside the door closed automatically and the hallway was illuminated with bright light. Only they weren't in a hallway.)
Mindcontrol: Looks like Sara's been remodeling since the last time I was here.
(The 30th to 34th floors were reorganization into a massive battle arena. There was one set of stairs on the other side of the arena that went up to where the original 31 floor was. From there, the stairs circled around the room and went up, and continued this way until it reached the final floor. Across the room were a group of Sovereign mutants. At a far distance, Jack noticed the mutant Vertigo. He was standing on a platform surrounded by the three Sentinels he had earlier foreseen. He rose his hand in the air, and the first wave of mutants began running toward the X-men.)

(The first wave consisted of three mutants. The first was a mutant that was a mix between an alligator and a man. The second was a strange looking Pierrot mime. The third was a little girl who appeared to be around the age of 9. She was holding a doll which looked like a miniature version of herself. The alligator man turned to face Avriletta, the Pierrot mime to Jack, and the little girl to Pavati. The alligator man swung his tail fiercely at Avriletta. Meanwhile, the Pierrot mine placed his hands inside his sleeves and pulled out two knives. As he held onto the knives, his hands began to give off an ominous teal glow. The knives in his hands also began to retained that same teal glow. The mime threw them at Jack. Jack placed a psychic shield to protect himself. When the knives made contact with Jack's shield, they pierced through it flawlessly. With his motion tracking eyes, he was able to catch the knives with his bare hands. He suddenly felt a burning sensation, as if the knives had been dipped in boiling oil. He dropped the knives on the ground and grinded his teeth to hold in the pain.)
Mindcontrol: Why is it always knives!
(The Pierrot mime creepily smiled as he pulled two more knives from his sleeves. Meanwhile, the little girl looked at Pavati and gave her an innocent smile. She placed her doll on the ground and took a couple of steps back. Simultaneously, both the little girl and the doll's eyes began to glow red. The doll came to life and stood up on its own. The little girl clapped her hands and the doll began to grow in size. The doll was now the same size as Pavati, but it kept growing. It continued until reached a maximum height of eight feet. Once it stopped, It began to walk like Frankenstein's monster toward Pavati.)

"Garfaxy, you sell out!" Avriletta yelled as she stopped his tail with her foot. he flipped over and slashed at her shoulder and attempted to pull off a death spin, "Jack! Trade me!" Ave. yelled as she pulled out her knives and threw the acid tipped ones at the mime. one hit and It screamed and attempted to dodge the last one.

(The mime blocked the second knife by placing his hands forward and pretending to be trapped in a box. The mime's invisible box protect him from Avrilett'a second knife. He pulled her first knife out of his shoulder and dropped it in the ground. The mime began throwing some of his own knives at Avriletta. Jack sensed the knive, jumped in front of Ave. and fired a telekinetic blast at them. The force of the blast was enough to push them away and enough to knock the mime off his feet. The alligator man dashed toward Jack with his claws, slashing away at his uniform's left sleeve. He gave a cry of pain as he placed his hand over his bleeding arm. Jack lifted the alligator in the air and sent him smashing against the nearest wall.)
