(Jack typed in the code on the keypad that operated the door. Once it opened, Jack stepped inside. The lights turned on as he walked inside. Jack walked to the far end of the room. He stopped at the last holding cell, number 5. Sara's cell was number 1. Jack wanted to keep Liz as far away from Sara as possible and vice versa. It was for the safety of both. Using his telekinesis, he opened the cell door. Jack walked inside and carefully placed his leader on the bed. He stepped back and locked the door. Jack went to the keypad that controlled the mutant nullifying lights. He looked at the woman that was laying on the bed, she looked so helpless. He remembered the day before that Liz told Jack and Kitty of her feared if they knew that Nur was inside of her that they would lock her up. Jack actually joked about it, but he wasn't smiling now.)
Mindcontrol: I'm so sorry.
(He activated the nullifying lights on cell 5. The blue lights turned on and Jack watched as Liz began to morph into her human form.)

Liz stirred when she felt her body change. Though she never showed it, changing back and forth was always uncomfortable, especially in her hands and feet. A tear rolled down her cheek when she felt the warmth of the light on her body. She turned her head and saw Jack standing on the other side of the door and started to cry softly, "I am sorry Jack. I never meant to hurt you." Her accent was back, but her voice broke as she spoke.

(Jack couldn't stand to see Liz cry. He always got teary eyed when he saw someone cry. Jack focused on the ground below Liz as he talked to her.)
Mindcontrol: I know you would never intentionally harm me or any of your teammates. I can't say the same thing about the demon inside of you.

Liz sighed and turned her head away. She knew what he said was true and now that there were children in the house, things could get out of hand if anything of them did the wrong thing at the wrong time. She swallowed hard and looked back to Jack, "You did ze right zing. You must protect ze team und ze kids. Keep me in here as long as you need to." The tears kept coming, but her voice was strong.

(Jack clutched his hands in frustration. It felt like they had defeated Apocalypse decades ago. Yet, the pain from that time felt as fresh as if the events happened a day before. He thought of all the friends that had lost their lives back then. Jack was now clutching his hands with even more force, trying to fight back the tears.)
Mindcontrol: I don't want to keep you in here forever. I first came to this mansion wanting to expand my powers, get stronger for the greater good. Though my past still haunts me everyday, I've turned completely around. I've done a lot to make amends for all of that evil. There were great achievements and many sacrifices over the years, again for the greater good. But seeing you inside this cell, makes me feel like those sacrifices were all for nothing.
(The force in his hands had now gotten to the point where his nails were penetrating his skin. Small handfuls of blood began dipping out of his palms. He was now looking directly at Liz. Jack wasn't strong enough to overcome some obstacles in the past, now he wasn't strong enough to overcome the tears.)
Mindcontol: I will save you.

Liz slowly sat up and she leaned against the wall behind her, a sad smile on her face. She shook her head as she connected eyes with her third, "You sound like Chaze. He said ze same zing before he left. Personally, I zink ze only vay to get rid of him is to kill me, but know zat no vone here vill do zat." She laughed softly, "Funny. Being in here... I can't hear Nur's voice in my head. He can't stand it, being in a human body. He zinks zat it is below him."

Midcontrol: Yeah, maybe if you're in your human form long enough, he'll decided to move out of your mind.
(Jack was surprised that he too was laughing. He smiled as he looked at Liz.)
Mindcontrol: I'm going to go get Sara something to eat and then I'll put her in her cell. I don't recall seeing you at breakfast. Do you want me to get you something to eat from the kitchen?
(Liz was going to stay in this cell, but Jack was not going to treat her like a criminal.)

Liz's eyes lost some of their light and she tucked herself up as best she could. She hadn't eaten in days, but she still had no desire to eat. She just shook her head, "He always comes back. I've tried staying human... No food. Not hungry."

(Jack could tell that Liz hadn't gone with food for a while now, but he was going respect her wishes.)
Mindcontrol: I'll be back as soon as I can.
(Jack smiled to try and lift Liz's spirits, but he knew it was futile. He walked toward the door. He stopped and pressed the code on the keypad. The doors swung open and he stepped out. Jack made his way to the working elevator and stepped inside.)

(Jack led Sara to the detention cells. Halfway there, Sara turned her neck to Jack and smiled.)
Winterfire: So what's going on?
Mindcontrol: Not much, just taking your @ss to...
Winterfire: Oh shut up. You know what I mean. What's the situation now?
Mindcontrol: How did you know about that?
Winterfire: I didn't.
(Sara turned her head forward and smiled. While Jack frowned and glared her down. Jack almost regretted the fact that he had saved Sara's life from Liz. Once they arrived at the detention center, Jack entered the code on the keypad on the side of the door and they slide open. Jack pushed Sara inside and made their way to the cells. He stopped at cell number one. Jack opened the cell bars and and placed Sara inside. After placing the plate with the sandwich on the bed, he then removed her handcuffs. Jack left the cell, closed the bar door and locked it. He went over to the keypad and activated the mutant nullifying lights. As the blue lights turned on, Sara looked at Jack.)
Winterfire: Why are you turning on those lights? You know I'm powerless at the moment.
Mindcontrol: Yeah, but I want to keep it that way.
(Sara flipped Jack off, before sitting on the bed and eating the sandwich. He walked over to cell five, where he had left Liz.)
Mindcontrol: How are you holding up?

Liz looked up from behind her knees, her eyes wary of the man, " I am an animal in it cage. Back to vere I vas vhen I first got to America. Only zis time I have no powers und I have tried to kill my closest friend.How do you zink I am doing?" Her lips curled back into a snarl, but without her fangs, she didn't look as threatening.

(Jack looked down at the ground. He placed his hand on the back of his neck and began rubbing it. Embarrassed that he even asked the question.)
Mindcontrol: Yeah, I should have known. Just know that this won't be permanent, you'll be out soon. I promise.
(Jack walked toward the cell. He pulled out one of the communicators. He opened the cell door and handed Liz the communicator. He then left the cell, closing and locking the door)
Mindcontrol: If you need anything, just ask me.

Liz looked down at the communicator and then back up at Jack. Even without her powers, she could tell something was on his mind. She had known him too long and been through too much with him to not notice. Her now blue eyes narrowed as she regarded him before nodding, "I vill keep zat in mind. But for now, I need to sleep. I can only hope zat vill bring me peace."
The woman got up from her bed and walked to the door. She looked into the bright blue eyes of her friend and shook her head, "Find a vay to help me. Bitte. I beg you." She bit her lip and hit the button next to the door that would lower a privacy screen before turning her back on the telepath.

(Jack let out a sigh as he turned away from Liz. He walked down toward the exit, ignoring Sara as he passed by. The doors slide open and Jack stepped out. On his way to the briefing room, he sent a mental message to Avriletta upstairs.)
Baby, its Jack. I need you at the briefing room right now. We have an emergency.
What's wrong?
I'll explain as soon as you get down here.
Alright, I'm heading down there right now
( He considered contacting Tiffany, but after her wounds from Count, she was not capable of doing much.)

Liz sat down on the bed and began to cry in earnest now. She too was recalling the conversation in which she told Kitty and Jack about Nur. They had promised her that they would never put her in one of these cells, that she could trust them. They had had now done just that. She honestly didn't know what to think about her staff anymore and it scared her. She knew that if she couldn't trust Jack and Kitty, she could never trust anyone again. But still... she now had to wonder.
Liz looked around the cell and saw several sharp edges. She had tried to commit suicide once before, in the infirmary, but that was years ago. She wrists still bore the light scars. She had even been taking the cure like a drug, a way to get Nur out of her head and have a chance to feel free. Liz knew the cure was having some kind of effect on her mind, but was unsure of how bad it was. She got down on the floor and dragged her arm across the bottom of the metal bed. to her surprise, she found a single rough patch and she withdrew her arm to find that there was a shallow cut. Not deep, but deep enough to bleed. With the sight of the blood and the relief of the numbing pain, she took a deep breath and climbed back onto the bed. She lay down, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.
