From the computer, there came a loud beep noise followed by Kitty's voice.
Shadowcat: Liz? Are you there? It's Kitty. Please respond.

Shadowcat: Oh thank God.
There was a slight pause as Kitty exhaled before continuing.
Shadowcat: Liz, I have more bad news. Count has kidnapped Emily.

Tiffany glanced nervously at Liz, "Liam... was that a math book?" she didn't wait for him to answer, "Math was my best subject in college, if you need help... well, you can ask if you want." she smiled, her sister was better with english and languages than she was. But when it came to anything like math and science Tiffany excelled with little effort.

Liam blushed and drew out the book. It was a Pre-Algebra book, 7th grade level. He held it in one hand and sighed
"I never had any formal teaching. I nicked it from a middle school. I have a whole essential class set in my bag here. I don't understand most of it... if you want to help me, that would be fantastic"
He gave a sad smile and opened it to where he was. It was graphing linear equations

Liz smiled and walked back over to the pair, "Sorry, I couldn't help overhearing. I understand vhere you are coming from. Most of my own education comes from psychically digging through people's minds. Before I left Germany, I maybe had a fifth grade level education. If you vould like, I can give you some lessons my vay as vell." She put a hand on Liam's shoulder and sighed deeply. She looked over at Tiffany, but just couldn't tell her the news just yet.

"That would be much appreciated" Liam let out as he looked up to Liz with eyes so similar to a child's looking to its' mother that it was almost disturbing. He seemed to realize this, however, and stared back down at his hands and the moderate condition math book.
"I would guess it to be in my best interest then to stay. Not that there really was much doubt in the decision anyway"
