Hey, As maybe some of u, I'm active on more then 1 RPG (also on animal based RPG, but I might have guessed that ) I suddenly noticed one of the chars that started RP'ing with me, was proboly stolen. (she had put up a link to the origal, and i indirectly knew the owner-the owner draws a comic i'm reading) So i sent a note to the owner telling her about it... And she was pissed. Today, if found an other art theft. from the same person. It seems to be quite normal on Horse Island to steal other people art of there chars. thanks for reading, Nixly

Yeah... Art theft for this kind of stuff is a touchy subject. I'll be the first to admit that Liz's original design was stolen (though unintentionally) from Marvel's Nocturne (Nightcrawler's daughter). People take pictures of characters that they think resembles their character and uses them for avi pictures and the like. However, I don't call it theft if permission was asked for and it was granted if it is possible.

well the problem is i know they didn't ask permission. OC's taken are in many cases are very precis to there owners, and it's driving me crazy. They even take char names, and personalities. And it's very disappointing, i was suddenly RP'ing with a famous stallion, and he turned out to be stolen. Many artists don't mind drawing Ur char if u ask. they are often open for requests. Accidentally making a char that resembles the other, that's not bad. stuff like that just happens, it's not art theft. or char theft. It's not theft if they ask permission. they usually just don't ask permission.
