Christina held the door open for Elijah to walk inside. In the mirror she could see the stains on her back better. It really wasn't much. Just two spots on her lower back. She turned back towards Elijah.
Christina: Come on in. It's alright.

Elijah forced his tears back. He nodded again, and went into the bathroom. He looked at the things around him. A shower, a bath, large closets, towels, ever thing you found in a normal bathroom. He wondered, if this was a house for normal people (people like him), why did the bathroom looks so normal. This crash with Christina had caused his hands to bleed again, and now, a little part of something (could be glass, plastic, iron, but since it was covered in blood, it wasn't visible). He tried to use his gift to chance the material in his hands. Unfortunately, he couldn't see the effect. He could feel his gift working, but nothing else. He held his hands up, and scraped his traot:
"Um, Lady Christina? There is something in my hand.."
He didn't really know how to talk to her, so lady Christina seemed something that couldn't insult her.

Christina felt an amused smirk on her face. No one had ever called her a lady before, and it was both weird and a little cute to be called that by a kid. She turned around and looked at his hand, but since it was still bleeding it was hard to see anything. Christina turned on the faucet and brought his hands under the water. As the blood began to wash away, she could now see the shards in the cuts.
Christina: Yep, there's something there. Probably a piece of glass or something. Well here, hop up here and I'll fix you up.
Christina patted on the countertop and helped Elijah sit on top of it. Christina went to the medicine cabinet and pulled out some bandages, a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, cotton balls, and a tweezer. She sent these things down next to him and picked up the tweezer.
Christina: Just letting you know, this might hurt a little.
Holding one of his hands to keep it still, Christina used the tweezers to yank the shards out.

Elijah flinched ever time she yanked the shards out, she it didn't take him long to change the material, form hard glass and iron, to a softer, plastic bag material. He was smart enough to know that cotton would probably stick to his blood and skin, so soft plastic would be better right?
He wondered why she helped him like that. Would Nala have woke up by now? would someone come to search for him? He bow his head, and forced back the tears when an other shard was pulled out. no matter what the material was, it was painful. She had a friendly smile.. He started at all the stuff she brought in. Was she going to use all of that to take care of his hands? He was afraid to speak, he didn't know what she would say after his little rampage. He would get trow out. probably.

Christina stared, somewhat confused how the pieces started out as glass and now it was like filmsy plastic bags. Surely, there weren't any plastic bags for him to rip in the elevator. But then it occurred to her. She looked at Elijah. He looked scared with tears still in his eyes. Christina smiled and tried to pull out the last fragment in his right hand more gently. She held the piece of plastic on the tweezers and looked back at Elijah.
Christina: Are you doing this? 'Cause that's pretty cool if you are.

Elijah look slightly confused. Did she mean his ability to change material was cool? did she accualty like his ability? She didn't hate him because of it? He realized, his is no longer the outside world. He was were he belonged. "Yes, I can change the material of something."He said proudly. "It doesn't hurt so much when I make the material soft."

Christina was glad that she had gotten Elijah to cheer up. Maybe dealing with kids wasn't so bad, even if she was still new to it. She went to remove the fragments in his left hand, remembering to be careful as to not hurt him.
Christina: I'll bet. That's a pretty useful power you have there. How old are you, Elijah?

Elijah laughed a bit, and said: "I'm 11." He considered the thought of telling her about his family, but rejected it. Maybe she would imminently take him back, and he didn't feel like going back right then. For a few brief moments, he could forget what happened. He wasn't going to ruin it.
He looked at her and asked: "What is your power?" He looked very curious, and his eyes showed a glim of light of the first time. Maybe he found a friend?

Christina had just finished pulling out all the small shards in his hands when Elijah asked the question. She put down the tweezers, looked up at him, and smiled before pointing to the trash can. Her hand, as well as the trash can, began to glow with a purple aura. With a wave of her hand, the trash can slid across the floor and came to rest right beside her. Next Christina used her other hand to make the shards begin to glow and rise in the air. Leading them with her hands, the shards flew above the trash can. When Christina lowered her hands, the purple aura vanished and the shards fell from the air and into the trash can. She turned back to Elijah and smile again.
Christina: That... and I also get premonitions, but those kind of happen on their own.

Elijah was enthusiastic. He had never seen something like thát before! "That's cool!" he said, almost jumping up and down, and imminently wished his sisters where there, to see this! Nadja sometimes did things like that too, but she generally had to use bubbles, rainbows, and other 'betweens' to move them around. She didn't need that. She could just move them!
"That is so asome!" Something was scratching on the door. The door clicked, and went open. Crumpy, the English bulldog of the family had found him. The dog growled at the sight of Christina's blooded clothes, assuming she was hurting her family's 'cub'.
"Easy girl! Easy! It's ok!" Said Elijah quick. She was very gentle, and only growled when she toughed her family was in danger. Elijah quickly showed his hands and said: "Look girl, she made me better!"
The English bulldog didn't quite trust the lady yet, but started sniffing the air, to find if she could trust her.

Christina smiled again at Elijah, until some strange bulldog appeared and began growling at her. But it seemed the dog was Elijah's. Elijah showed the dog his hands, and then she began sniffing around Christina. Unsure whether the dog was going to continue to growl at her, or maybe bite her, Christina decided to ignore that for now and continue helping Elijah.
Christina: Yeah, well. Now that the shards are out, we should probably finish bandaging your hands.
Christina turned the faucet back on and brought Elijah's hands under the stream to wash off any excess blood. She turned off the faucet and used the end of her shirt to dry his hands off; it was already bloody so she didn't care. She then grabbed a cotton ball and poured some of the hydrogen peroxide on it.
Christina: This may sting a little, but it will be quick.
She passed the cotton ball over his cuts, and the hydrogen peroxide immediately began to take effect by cleansing the infection in his cuts. She then threw away the cotton ball and then grabbed the bandages to wrap around his hands. When she was done, she threw away the disgards.
Christina: Alright, that should do it.

Crumpy 'hmmmpt', lay down, and stared at Christina and Elijah. He didn't seem bothered at all.
Elijah squeezed his eyes when the elder woman started to treat his wounds with hydrogen. He tried not to pull his hands, but he failed, as he couldn't stop the automatic reaction to bring his hands in safety.
Elijah's hand were now covered in bandages, and they felt a lot better. The young boy lifted his head up, and said to the nursing lady: "Thank you miss Christina!" He was a bit unsure what to do now. He could return to his sister... and then what? she would ask what happened to his hands...

Christina: You're welcome, and you can just call me "Christina."
Christina was relieved when dog calmed down and laid down on the floor. It was at that point the drowsiness began to hit Christina again. She covered a yawn with her hand and looked back at Elijah.
Christina: It's getting really later. Should probably get some sleep. You got a place to stay?

Elijah smiled to her. "Yes. Here." He looked at his feet, and then spoke again. "Me and my family just arrived here." He looked at Crumpy, how was now busy falling asleep. Christina had proven not being an enemy, and her gentle nature let her drop her guard. "I think the rest of my family is still in miss Liz's office..." He almost whispered

Christina: Your family? How many are here?
Christina looked surprised. Apparently a lot has happened while she and the others were gone.
