Liz was listening to everything that had been going on and it really had her worried. She knew of Jack's orders to let her out if anything bad happened. Listening in on the conversation between Christina and Sara, she also knew that it could only be a matter of time until she could be free. However, she too was terrified that she wasn't going to be able to stay in control.

Christina's hand still hovered over the controls, debating whether or not what to do next. Finally, she just couldn't stand it anymore. She walked away from the controls and walked straight up to Liz's cell. It appeared as though Liz was expecting to be released, but right now she appeared confused. Christina knew she may regret later what she was about to do, but right now she had lost her better judgment.
Christina: Just what exactly do you think is going to happen next? I let you out, and then what? You just take care of Count and that's it. Well, I know about HIM.
Christina let it sink in a little bit to judge Liz's reaction before she continued. Right now, Liz is realizing that either Jack or Kitty had told her about Nur.
Christina: A year. An entire year, and you didn't tell us. You really think you can stay in control if I let you out? Do you know who your enemy is, or will you attack me like you did Jack in the Danger Room?
The instant she said it, Christina knew it was a low blow. But in her defense, it was that thought that scared her the most. If Nur did come out, would he attack Count or try to take her life again?

Liz hung her head and shook it slowly, "I thought I could control him. I took ze cure often to keep him at bay. Zat is vhy I have been in my human form so much since ze fight." She rolled up her sleeve to show the inner part of her elbow and the scars the needles left behind. She looked up at Christina with tears in her eyes, "I never thought he vould take over like zat here. I've been good... no trouble und my mind has been stable. I am just as surprised zat he attacked Jack. However, I can make no promises about now. I know zat he can be single-minded. Jack vas my target in ze danger room so he became Nur's target. If Count is my target, he vill be Nur's. Just take me down before he hurts any vone else." The tears were streaming by now. It was clear that the broken girl was just as terrified as Christina was. She knew that the other girl would be angry about her not denying the presence of Nur, but Liz couldn't hide it any longer.

As Liz was standing there crying in front of her, Christina was in turmoil with her emotions. On one hand she could sympathize with Liz for taking the cure as a means to ease her troubles. She definitely could relate to that. On the other hand however, Liz was not denying the fact that she had kept Nur a secret all this time and that both frightened and infuriated her.
Christina: I let you out, but only because Jack told me too. He can be responsible. Just stay away from me.
Christina didn't know how things could just get so out of control in such a short amount of time. And she just didn't know who she could trust anymore.

Liz hugged herself, her body shaking slightly, and nodded. She took a deep breath and looked back up at Christina, "If you have to let me out, run. Get to ze Danger Room und don't come back out until someone gives you ze all clear. I do not vant to hurt you und if Nur gets it in his mind zat killing you means coming back, ze Danger Room's safe house mode might keep you safe." She lowered her head and tried to calm herself and ready her mind for a battle she could only hope to win.

Christina turned her back to Liz and prepared to walk away back to the controls. She passed by Sara, who was just grinning from ear to ear. Christina, in her rage, had let it slip that Count was here in the mansion, and Sara knew it had to be for her rescue. Christina did her best to ignore the firestarter, but the medallion that she now wore around her neck began to feel like it weighed a hundred pounds. She pulled at her uniform collar which had suddenly felt very tight around her neck. Christina knew that her nerves were starting to effect her again as her movements became slower the closer she made it to the controls, and she had to force herself to remain standing. She took many breaths to try and calm herself, but nothing seemed to work.
Then, the memory of Graydon Creed and her father jumped in her mind. Instantly, Christina became enraged once again and used that to strengthen her resolve. Christina wasn't going to run and hide. She was going to fight back. She wasn't going to go out now; she had other business to finish first. Nur will have to wait to get revenge, not until Christina had hers first. She went back to the main computer. She was never really good with complex technology as she tried to discover how to open just one cell instead of using the emergency release.

Once the elevator doors opened, light from the heavily illuminated subbasement pierced into the elevator and onto Count. He walked forward down the hallway. The sound of his shoes walking on the metallic floor echoed throughout the hallway. Count stopped and looked around. His eyes closed slightly. The light in the room was actually having an effect on him
Count: This simply won't do
Pulling out his rapier sword, Count threw it at one of the lights on the ceiling. Destroying that one light allowed for a small area of shadow to be exposed on the ground. Count then used that one area of shadow to control. Lifting his hand in the air and then in a forward motion caused spikes to fly out of that one shadow area and into multiple directions. The spikes smashed into into most of the lights. The subbasement was now darkened.
Count: Much better.
He continued his way down the corridor. Every now and then he would stop by a door and listen for movements or sounds of people inside. His ears would twitch for a second, but hearing nothing he would continue. It wasn't until he reached a door that he heard movement inside. Count immediately teleported, only to reappear inside the detention center. Winterfire smiled gleefully at the sight of her father. He looked around to find Winterfire in the cell closest to the door. There was a woman whom he didn't recognize in one of the cells. He was slightly confused as to who she was. A third woman he recognized instantly as one of the X-men whom he encountered at the Xavier Mansion.
Count: Good evening ladies.

Christina snaps her head up at the sound of his voice. Aw s#!t. She still hasn't figured out how to just release Liz yet. She needed a little bit more time. She knew this was extremely stupid but it was the only plan she had at the moment. Her eyes glowed violet as she pushed Count back out the doors and slammed the doors shut. While using her powers, she tried to hold the doors shut while still finding the commands on the computer. On top of all that, she attempted to send a message to Jack.
Jack! Count's in the holding cells! I'm trying to get Liz out now, but it's hard to concentrate on both!

(Count was pushed out of the room, the doors closed in front of him. He looked at the door and noticed the aura of the girl trying to keep it close. Count could have easily teleported inside, but he was going to take his time. Walked over to the door he began using his brutal force by physically punching the door. With each punch the metallic door and the wall between Count and the others shook. Each punch made a dent at the door.)

Christina was relieved to hear Jack's voice in her head.
On the controls there is a switch with numerical numbers on it. Turn that to cell 5 and pull the lever. That should deactivate the mutant nullifier on Liz's cell and open the cell as well. Though keep in mind to avoid pushing the red button. Otherwise you'll do the same to all the cells.
Finally! There were so many controls on the panels. Thank god she didn't screw up anything. Okay set it to cell five and pull the lever.
God, Count's insistent banging was taking every bit of her control to keep him out. Every bang on the wall made Christina's barrier falter, but she returned each bang with a pulse to keep him out.

(With each punch, the aura that kept him out would pulse back stronger. Count monetarily stopped. He was surprised at how well she was keeping him at bay. However his patience was waning fast. Count decided he needed to end this. He slipped back into the shadows. The banging of the door had left the subbasement in the same quietness before Count had showed up. Just then, inside the cells, Count's arm appeared from within the shadows. His hand reached and grabbed tightly onto Christina's ankle. Count's face was not visible, but everyone in the cells heard haughty laughter from the shadows below.)

Christina screamed when she felt... something... wrapped around her ankle and pulled. As she fell, she hit the control panel and then slammed on the ground. She flipped around and saw the hand that had emerged from the shadows. She began using her other foot to kick at the hand.
Christina: Let go!
It was then that movement caught Christina's eyes. She looked up and saw Sara walking out of her cell. Oh crap. When she fell, Christina must have hit that red button Jack told her not to hit. Now Sara was released as well as......
Oh damn. Suddenly, Christina was not afraid of the pyromaniac or the shadow man. She yanked herself out of Count's grip and crawled as far back as she could. Christina constructed a protective barrier as she caught sight of blood-red eyes that stood behind Sara and the shadow of Count.

(Winterfire left her cell, the most joyous look was upon her face. She lifted her hands close to her face. With the effects of the cure gone, she ignited her hands in delight. Blue flames illuminated the cell block. She wasn't going to attack anyone. Sara just wanted to use her powers again. When she grasped her hands, the fires disappeared. Sara turned to Christina who was protecting herself with a psychic shield. Right behind Christina stood Nightcat. The definition on her face was similar to how it looked back in the Danger Room. This actually frightened the fire user. Count stepped forward and looked at Nightcat. Instantly he recognized the figure as the woman who had entered Storm's mind. It looked like they were finally going to have that fight they promised each other.)
Count: Sara this is not your fight. I want you to go up stairs and finish off the other X-men.
(Sara looked nervously between her father and Nightcat. Without saying a word, Sara turned around to face the door. Sara remembered hearing the tones and pitches of the sounds of the buttons being pressed by Jack. using her memory Sara was able to click the correct code from the door on her first attempt. She made her way to the elevator door. Meanwhile, Count turned to Christina and gave her an order as if she were one of his Sovereigns.)
Count: You... leave us.

Christina was looking back and forth between the other occupants in the room, wondering who would attack first. She was practically trembling every time she met those blood eyes. She watched as Sara escaped from the detention cells and turned her attention back at the other two. But then Count instructed her to leave. Gladly, she thought. But still she got up carefully keeping her shield around her as she made her way out of the detention cells as quickly as she could.
Once she was out of the cells, Christina was finally able to breathe again. Now she just had to get as far away from those two as possible. No telling what destruction those two would cause. And speaking of destuction, oh god Sara's out now. And she's headin upstairs! Christina ran as fast as she could to the elevators all the while sending a message to Jack via the mental link.
Jack, Sara is out! She's on her way upstairs!

Liz cracked her neck as she felt her body return to its natural state, reveling in the slight pain as bones fused, sprouted, or elongated in different areas. She took a deep breath as she felt her Master at the edges of her mind, just waiting for the right moment. With any luck, Liz knew that she could keep him at bay for just long enough to end this fight. She stepped out of the cells and just watched as the small fight broke out. Even when she was finally noticed, she kept still, waiting for Count to dismiss Christina. As the seer ran from the room, Liz shifted her weight onto her tail and leaned back as to appear lazy in front of Count, "I thought I told you I never vanted to see you again. You vere to come here. Zis ist my home und I vill do anyzing to make sure zat you vill never come back.
