(Quietly opening the door to his room, Max stuck his head out and looked at both ends of the hallway. No one was around. The only source of light came from the dimly lit torches that hung on the walls. The castle was a lot quieter without the triplets. At night it was completely dead. The quiet atmosphere of the castle just made Max feel that much more uncomfortable.)
Psychonaut: It's now or never.
(He had heard earlier that Count had disappeared, possibility returning to the States. This was the window of opportunity that he needed. Now was the time to travel to Prague and find his mother. Though he had no idea how he was going to get there. They were currently in a castle in the middle of the forest in the middle of no where. He knew that wondering in the dark wilderness could be a life threatening risk. Max had the training to survive, but he lacked the supplies to make it out of the forest alive. He looked at the door to Talia's bedroom. Max knew with her super speed, they could arrive in Prague in no time. He shook his head at the idea. Talia was loyal to Count and her knowing his mission would only jeopardize her trust and friendship. Suddenly, he got a crazy idea. He remembered back to the battle at the Xavier Mansion. Max recalled the girl Count had brainwashed. The girl had used her powers to teleport her sister out of danger.)
Psychonaut: Maybe she can help.
(Max knew that If he got caught, it would be the end of it. No matter what option he thought of, there was always a risk involved. If he was to be successful, he had no choice but to take one of those risks. Max bent down and placed his hand on the floor. He closed his eyes and began concentrating on the girl. Using his telepathy, he scanned the castle. Five minutes passed before he finally got a hold of her signature. She was located in the servants quarters on the ground floor. A look of determination was on Max's face as he stood up and made his way to the stairs. It was now or never and there was no use turning back.)

( Being late at night, the flames on the torches that lit the castle had died off. Max raised his hand and used the glowing aura associated with his powers to create an artificial light source. Max cautiously walked down the stone stairs. Every now can then he would stop, fearing he heard the footsteps of an inhabitant of the castle. Every time he stopped, the boy would have second thoughts on what he was doing. Thinking maybe he should just turn back. When cost would be clear, Max would shake his anxiety away and continue moving forward. About ten minutes later, Max reached the ground floor. He looked at several corridors, trying to remember where the X-man was. "It was over here." he thought to himself. He moved swiftly, but retained his stealth. He reached a large wooden door, with large brass door handles that were the size of car tires. Max pulled on the door handles. As he pulled, the door began to open and what followed was the sound of the door creaking. Max stopped in fear of waking the servants inside. Once the door was open wide enough for him to slip inside, he stopped pulling and moved inside. As Max entered the room, he lowered the intensity of the green glow on his hand. He looked toward the bed where she was sleeping. He knelt down next to the bed and looked at the X-man. He took a deep breath and placed his hands over her forehead. Max concentrated as he began to enter her mind. If Max wanted to set her mind free, that meant facing his father.)

(When he opened his eyes, Max found himself in the middle of a road. The road was on a large hilltop over looking a city. He looked around, trying to figure out where he was. It was clear he wasn't in Germany anymore. His surroundings were nothing but city buildings. What gave him the creeps was that the entire city appeared empty. Everywhere he looked there were abandoned cars in the middle of the streets. It kind of reminded him of those "movies.")
Psychonaut: F**k that!!
(He shook those thoughts out of his head That was the last thing he needed to think about right now. Considering this was all within the mind, anything was possible. He decided to continue walking, Max had to find Emily, where ever she was. He also made sure to be careful. Max knew that his father wouldn't have left Emily's mind unguarded. He then stopped and noticed something in the distant. A large structure, as far as his eye could see. The weather was really misty, but he could easily make out the famous structure. It was the Golden Gate Bridge, he was in San Fransisco.)
Psychonaut: Interesting and kinda random but why here?
(He said this to himself. Max continued walking down the hill. A few minutes later he stopped when something caught his attention in the distance. It was the debris of a building that was destroyed by what looked like a fire. Smoke from the debris was still ascending into the sky. What was even more strange was the fact that it was the only building that was destroyed. Max started running toward the rubble of the building.)

(Max arrived at the site of the destruction of the building. He looked around and spotted several small fires. The smoke from the fires was causing him to cough painfully. He quickly used his telekinesis to push a wave of air toward the fires, putting them out. Max dusted himself off and continued on. He was looking around, trying to find Emily. Max stopped walking, a wall of rocks and stones about nine feet blocked his path. Max could have easily blown the wall away, but he needed the element of surprise on his side. He didn't want to alert whatever defense Count had put up. He proceeded to climb the wall, carefully watching his foot steps. When he got to the top, he used his powers to create an astral slide made of his psychic energy. Max placed his right foot on the greed slide before sliding down the to the ground. The moment his feet touched the ground, the slide behind him disintegrated into nothingness. Max looked around, alarmed for anything that might be thrown at him. Examining the area, he found that there was nothing that posed a threat to him. However, he did find something. A human figure that he quickly recognized as the girl Emily. It wasn't really Emily, but mental representation of her mind. She was on the ground and on her side. Her entire body was tied up under lock and chain. Emily looked cold and pale, making the chain wrapped around her body look like a python squeezing the life out of her. Max rushed to her side and fell to his knees. He placed his hand on the back of her head. Max then lifted her body closer to his so the X-man's faces was in front of his.)
Psychonaut: Come on... Wake up Doll Face.
(Max began tapping her face to try and wake her up. It was no use. He then focused on removing the chains off her body. His hands began to glow green as he tried to use his powers to set her mind free. The chains began to wiggle around her body, but they still remained intact. He continued focusing, trying to overcome his father's mental hold on her. Sweat began running down his forehead as he increased his energy on removing the chain. He yelled as a sudden increase of his power ran through his body, enough to finally remove the chain.)

(At the boost of energy, the chains flung out of Emily's body. It laid on the ground only a few feet away. Max looked at the X-man, wondering if that did the trick. With the dark bond no longer clinching onto Emily, control of her mind and body would soon be restored to her. Max actually chuckled to himself, he was hoping this would have been harder, considering he was dealing with his father's tactics. A few moments passed and the mental representation of Emily disappeared. Max stood on his feet and was about to exit her mind, when he stopped. He noticed that the destruction around him, which was caused by the darkness, had not been restored to it's proper place. Count's power still held influence.)
Psychonaut: It's still here...
(He said this under his breath. He turned around to see that the black chain that controlled Emily was still laying on the ground. As he approached it, the chain twitched at Max's sudden movement. Max took another step forward and the chain flew into the air. The chain's movement represented that of an eel. The chain then began twirling in a circular motion. The ends of the chain connected, making a perfect circle. A few moments later, the bottom part of the chain began to grow, extending toward the ground. The dark mass now looked like theater curtains, as they swayed above the ground. The mass began shifting and morphing, eventually creating both arms and legs. The spinning chain stopped, and the entire figure dropped to the ground, landing on one of it's knees and creating an intimating thud sound. The figure grabbed the cloak and moved it to one side. It revealed a suit of armor, the kind that a knight would wear for battle. The most striking think that Max found was that the figure had no head, just the chain levitating in between the shoulders. The chain itself began morphing, creating a helmet, that levitated where the humanoid's head should be. The helmet turned to look at Max. Where it's face should be, there was only a darkness that pieced into his heart. The figure extended its arm, and just like how it came to be, a massive claymore sword was created from it's own body. With sword in hand the figure began to approach Max slowly.)

(Max looked at the behemoth with eyes wide open. He wondered how he was going to take down this monstrosity. Using his telekinesis, he flung various large chunks of debris at the knight-like figure. One chunk smashed the figure’s head. Raising its sword, the figure slashed a slab of concrete. Max knew he would have to think of something more creative to take it down. With Emily free she had complete control of her mind. He looked at Emily and began shaking her trying to jerk a reaction out of.)
Psychonaut: Come on sleeping beauty! You need to wake up right now! You’re the only one here that can stop this thing!
