Kitty walked into the front office. Immediately she felt like she was intruding. She would usually see Liz sitting behind that desk. But there was a job to do. Kitty sat in the chair and logged onto the computer. Immediately, she pulled up the security cameras in the holding cells to keep an eye on Liz. Then she began pulling up the security protocols to find ways to protect the mansion from and to sense Count.

Kitty updated the security systems and began to test them out. She grabbed the communicator she had and spoke into it.
Shadowcat: Ok Lockheed. Whenever you're ready.
Meanwhile, Lockheed hid in the subbasement ventilation system, constantly scratching his head from where the ear piece was itching him. But then he got the go-ahead. He crawled throughout the vents until he reached the darkest part of the jet hanger. He poked his head out and crawled out. He stuck to the shadows as he walked among the hanger for the exit. Without hearing an alarm, Lockheed growled happily... until he heard his master talking to him.
Shadowcat: Sorry, Lockheed. Silent alarm has been activated. Didn't want to scare everyone in the mansion. Infrared, nightvision, and thermal settings on the cameras picked you up the minute you came out of the vent.
Lockheed groaned knowing he was caught, but was still proud to help Kitty improve the settings and that they were working.
Shadowcat: Now, head outside to see if I can track you in the surrounded woods.
After a quick test, Kitty was able to track Lockheeds movements within a mile radius. After reinstating the audible alarm, Kitty called Lockheed back inside and made her way to begin fixing the elevator.

Kitty and Lockheed returned back to the office after about an hour and a half repairing the elevator. Finally everything was up and operational. Kitty slumped into the chair exhausted from the work she had done and the few mild shocks from the elevator. But then a flashing red alert on the computer caught her attention. She looked at the computer screen, afraid as to what it might be. Was it a security breach already?
The alert was an urgent report about an attack at the pentagon. According to security cameras, two unknown people had hacked into the computers and stole files and actual supplies from the sector.
She knew that they would have to go investigate to see who was responsible. She would have to go tell Jack and Liz about the attack and get some of the team to come with her. She sighed as she got up to the elevator. Lockheed flew up to her shoulder and whined.
Shadowcat: You know how it is, Lockheed. A superhero's work is never done.
The elevator doors closed as they traveled to the subbasement.
