Real Name: Christina Collins
Mutant Name: Oracle
Height and Weight: 5'5" 105 lbs
Age: Early 20s
Physical Description: Long, midback, straight dirty blonde hair. Bright sky blue eyes. Has the body of a gymnast/dancer. Her signature look is plain T-shirts, cargo pants and fingerless gloves on her hands.
Mutant Powers: (For those of you who are familiar with the TV show, Charmed... she's like Phoebe. For those who are not...) Premontions through physical contact with a person or object which is involved in the vision. Whenever she receives a premontion, she gasps and her blue eyes glow purple. She later developed some telekinesis in which the objects affected have a purple aura around them. She is still having trouble controlling when she receives a premontion, but has gotten better using her telekinesis thanks to the training at NeXt Gen.
Basic History: Born and raised in Cleveland, Christina's mother died when she was 6 so she became close to her father while growing up. She spent most of her years in gymnasiums, training to be an olympic gymnast. (Those of you familiar with the movie "Stick It"... Think Haley Graham) Her premontion power became active when she was 15. She tried to ignore her powers due to the controversies with mutants at the time, and they began to get out of control. One day, her father was leaving on a business trip. As they hugged good-bye, Christina had a premonition of a terrible car accident. She was worried, but still tried to ignore the fact that she had become a mutant. Later that same night, police came to her grandmother's home to tell the news that her father died in that car crash, just like the one she had foresaw. Ever since that night, Christina's premontion powers haunt her dreams with the same vision.
A week after the funeral, Professor Xavier had came to recruit her to the institute. However, being stubborn in her ways, she refused his offer and sought other means. When the cure became available, Christina jumped at the opportunity and received it right away. With the now public revelation that she was a mutant, she moved out of her grandmother's house and went to live in New York, where she hoped to escape from the memories of her past. She was finishing college when the effects of the cure had worn off and her premontions return, along with her new developed power of telekinesis. She went to Generation NeXt mansion in order to seek out help with her powers. Initially she wanted to seek the cure again, but after meeting the people at the mansion, she decided to try out training her powers and became a NeXt Gen X-man.
However, fortune doesn't seem to last long. Her life turned from bad to worse when Apocalypse came into the picture. It was prophesied that she was the mutant sacrifice needed to resurrect him, and so Weapon X captured her to revive Apocalypse and then attempt to control him to destroy the mutant race. Her team followed them to Egypt, but they came a little too late. Apocalypse was resurrected, but the team had found a way to also resurrect Christina back to life.
After the threat of Apocalypse had ended as well as that fateful battle that took the lives of many beloved team members, Christina has remained with the Next Gen X-men and has come more to terms with her powers.... but she still doesn't like them.
