(Standing in front of the facility he helped destroy ECKS takes a long look back at the last few months that he's spent wandering the wilderness in Canada. Not sure where he belongs anymore he's finally returned to the one place where someone actually wanted him. That someone was Dallas Smith, and even though he wanted to use ECKS as a sort of personal assasin for his secret war, at least he wanted ECKS at all. Leaving the mansion he felt was his only option after the feelings of darkness started to return to him. The feelings put in him while under the coontrol of Apocalypse. The feelings have since faded but he needed to stay away long enough to make sure they were gone for good. Now almost as sure of himself as he could possibly be, he decided it's time to start over again. To leave the quiet of the wilderness and once again rejoin civilization.)
(But where to? Back to the mansion, to the kids he come to know and raise like his own brothers and sisters? Or was it time for something new? He had no idea, but he knew the one place he could search for answers. The one person who could guide him to the next stage of his life. And that person was back at the mansion. The person who understood him the most, even when he wasn't sure he understood himself. He'd have to return to her one more time before he could move on. He can see his breathe in the cold air as he says her name once again.)

(Making one last check of his gear to be sure he has everything he'll need for the long trip back to civilization, ECKS wonders how things got so twisted up inside him. How could he let the darkness in him take him over so completely, he asked himself. He'd thought it was all behind him but he was wrong. And even now he wonders if it's truly gone or just laying dormant until it has a new victim to claim. But only one person had ever understood him and his problem. And in some ways it was the last person he'd have expected to understand. But she knew him in some ways better than he knew himself. And that was the reason he had to risk returning. He had to know if darkness was again in his future or if he'd finally managed to escape it.)
(With his breath showing in the cold air he decided not to hold off any longer. Now was the time. Now, he thought, or never. He started his motorcycle and let it heat up for a few seconds, revving the engine a bit. Then took off, the hot smoke pouring out of the back as it hit the freezing air. In only a few moments, he was out of site.)
