Map had dissapeared up to her office, "What will happen now?" the albino woman whispered to herself.
Stiffania has escaped... with Amy.... and they were now out in the wilderness... which is very bad. Arnold, the King, and Mikka are dead... which is very good. Count hasn't taken Siren... this is also good. How else am I to reasure myself... Oh my god... I don't have any successors... I wonder if I could just name Siren the rightful heir.... no... I'm not sure that would work
the thought was awful. A child would have to come out of her... and she couldn't be quick about it either, her map tricks wouldn't be very clever... there might be complications that she couldn't foresee...

Elsewhere in the castle Siren was making sure things ran smoothly, it was only fitting that Map sit back and watch Siren micromanage.
things needed cleaning, breakfast needed to be cleaned up, lunch needed to be prepared for, children needed to be sent to their lessons. Daily know how was her specialty, though her head reeled with infatution.
it was nearly 11:30. Children were where they should be... prisoners awaited Count.
It's so lovely here... but it's too quiet... i haven't been summoned in over an hour.... something is wrong.
Siren strode causally to Map's office and knocked in a rythem.
"Come in." was muffled slightly by the door.
Upon entering, Siren noticed Sara was still in yesterdays clothes, this only added to the something's up suspicion.
"Are you well, Map? You are unusually unneedy..."
"Siren... I need you to keep quiet... make sure everything runs as smooth as it normaly does... and tell noone what i have been thinking about all morning," Siren waited holding her breath, "I realized this morning... I haven't an heir to the throne.... i mean there is stiffania... but i don't want that little twit running my castle... i would rather just name you heir... but it doesn't work that way."
Siren laughed in relief, "My god i thought something was wrong!" she collapsed into the chair infront o the desk, "i was so worried you were dying or something!"
"I never told you to sit!"
"Shut your self!" siren was tired of the way she was being treated, "It's one thing when there are people here and we need to keep up appearances, but when it's just us, i would like you to treat me with a little more respect. It may be your office, but i help you get here, and i'll sit when i want..." Map looked shocked, she knew she had it comming, but surely it wasn't coming so soon, "What we shoudl probably do is find a man... he'll need to fit every qualification i can make up... and of coarse fit your liking...." Siren thought for a moment "... if Count says no we're out of luck..."
Map blushed at the thought of Count. She had never been with a man, and the thought scared her just a little. Siren was right... Map hadn't fancied a man in two decades, she wasn't likely to find another like Count either... oh problems....

"Is it rude....?" when map asked this Siren looked at her puzzled, "to summon him?"
"What.......?"Siren was laugin histerically on the inside, "um,... no? not really. It is your castle." Siren smirked at the idea. Sara, in a man's arms. it might even mellow her out a little bit, "You should send for him!" suddenly she was quite excited, "and explain the situation... perhaps not that you think he's delicious!-"
"Maricela!"
"What?"
"I do not think he's delicious!" Map was on her feet, "I just-.... well. I think he's a very nice man is all."
Siren had put her legs over the arm of the chair and put her back to the other arm, "OK." was all she had to say for Map to understand how well Siren knew her.
"Ugh! Fine!" Map exclaimed, "I guess that really is the only thing i would do... "
"Ooop!" Siren looked at her dainty and flowery wrist watch, "Lunch time for the children. Gotta go."

Siren hurried off in her little white skirt and flowing green blouse. on her way out she saw a blond haired boy and sent him off to the library to send for count.
Map silently conteplated what she would attempt to say to count. would he make things easy for her? how would he think of her after? is it worth the risk to ask this of him?

(After Max and Talia left, Count was left alone in the library. He had been reading just to relax and relieve the stress he was experiencing the last few days. As he continued to read, his thoughts would leave the page and wonder off to thoughts of what he was going to do now. "Its going to take time to repair the damage they caused me." he thought. The door opened and a small blond boy entered the library. Count put down his book and looked at the child.)
Boy: Are you Count, sir?
Count: Yes, I am. Why do you ask?
Boy: Sara is asking for you. She is in her office.
Count: Really? Thank you for telling me this. I'll be on my way.
(Count stood up from his seat and walked over to the shelf where he got the book. He placed it exactly where he got it. Turned to the boy, nodded and made his way out of the library. Count made his way through the castle to Sara's office. He knocked on the door.)
Count: Sara, its Count. Did you call for me?

"yes, please come in."her nerves found her rather quickly, "I need to talk to you about something.......... it's quite important... and a little embarasing" she looked a little more than slightly stressed as she sat riggid in her chair next to the desk.

(Count opened the door and stepped inside. He looked at Map sitting in her chair. Just by the look of her face, he knew that something was bothering her.)
Count: What do you want to talk to me about? Is everything okay?

"I.... I am not sure. I- ugh" she rested her forehead in her hand in embaressment and frustration, "please sit...." her hand shook a bit as she took it away. "I need you help... and i've no experience in his feild..." she held her breath for a moment, "I don't want to be so foreward. . . . but i need an heir." her tan face became a dark red that matched her calf length dress as she waited for his response.

(Count took a seat opposite from Sara's so that his eyes met hers. He placed his right index and middle finger on his temple while listening to her talk. When she finished, he put his hand down and crossed his leg. He continued to lock his eyes onto her's.)
Count: Me, being the father of another child.
(He said this more to himself than to Map.)
Count: Tell me, of all people why me? Surely there are dozens of men that may fit to your likening in this very castle. What makes me so special?

his questioning of her choice only made her face brighter. the only thing she couldthink of was how what was being discussed might happen, "I... um... they might be mostly qualified... but i just... well it should be you..." she stammered and began to fuss with her fingers," the first reason being that our organizations are somewhat together.this will deepen the ties... and... i..." words weren't coming like they normally did. she would have to say it. she didn't want to though. Sara crossed her ankles to her left under her chair and folded her hands in her lap. sha watched her freshly filed nails as she spoke," I have not been even remotely interested in any man that has passed me by.... not any where for about 15 years.... and i need an heir, should something happen."

(Count listened closely to everything she said. He nodded at some thins she was saying. However, he knew that these were not her true reasons as to why she wanted him to give her an heir. He was about to ask her another question, until she finished. The last thing she said hit him.)
Count: Should something happen...? Wait a minute! Are you afraid someone might be after your life?

she gave him a look of shock and amazement, "Of coarse. Do you have any idea of who escaped my castle?" she stood and paced, her jitters were too much for her now, "Stiffania. The origional princess. She controles dirt, earth, stone. rocks! what is the csatle made of? All of that." Sara turned to him after a few more paces, "She is so cruel when left to her own devices. I will not fall victim to her hand silently, but should I by chance find my self at her mercy I want to know the castle will be mine by blood. My whole life I have fought to get this. I will give birth to keep it." her words were funny till you thought of the implications of birth. A beautiful process; but this process involved a man to lay with her, and a child to sit for 9 months. neither had ever happened.

(Count was crossing his arms while listening to Map speak. He felt it was strange that Map was having a fear of death, because he had been feeling the same thing. But in her case it was much worse, because having a successor was more essential. Once she finished, Count also stood up and walked toward her. He placed his hands on both her shoulders.)
Count: You have good reason to worry, but I insist that you don't and that you calm yourself now! Please take a seat.
(Once Map had calmed down and taken her seat,Count continued to talk.)
Count: Now, I think I can understand how you are feeling. I originally intended that Winterfire would be the one to take complete control over my organization once I've passed. After the impressive attack delivered by the X-men, I don't know anything about her whereabouts. As a matter of fact, I don't have any information if she's even alive. At least I still have my son Max, though he is young and inexperience, I can still rely on him.... But you, you have no one.
(The tone of his voice from his last statement was more sympathetic than tyrannical. Count himself began to pace the room, thinking about everything the woman said. A few moments later, he turned to Map.)
Count: I willingly accept to help you Sara.

Sarah's heart fluttered at this, did he really see what she thought? A male heir would end this entire relative war and seal, for good, that she would be queen... and perhaps have a special someone in the bargan.
"Count?" she stood just a foot away from him, "I have no experience with another... what is it like?" she peered up curiously from beneath her bangs.

(Count was expecting Map to be jumping on her feet and rushing at him like magnet. However, she seemed more shy than ecstatic. Count was taken back by Map's question. Not because of the question itself, but because it had been a while since he had experience himself. The last person happened to be his wife, which he brutally murdered. After that dreadful event, he lost the desire completely. After that, he was only focused on his goals. Count again began pacing the room, trying to remember the more happier days of his marriage with his wife Sara.)
Count: Its an experience like no other. When its just you and the person you love most, there are no words in my vocabulary that I can compare it to. Nor are there exotic worlds in existence that could compare to this. It's an experience that you won't soon forget, even after many years, trust me, you'll look back on it and smile.
(Count himself smiled, showing a little of his white teeth. The rare smile faded from his face as soon as it appeared.)
