On Alert

[Amy, Ave., Tiff., Stiff.]

(After Jack and Elizabeth left, Avriletta was left in the kitchen looking after the kids. Once the cookies were done, Avriletta put on some mittens and went over to the oven. She turned off the over, opened the door and reached for the tray. When all of a sudden the alarms went off. She was so startled that she almost dropped the tray. She walked over to the table and laid the tray to cool off. She then sent a telepathic message to Jack via their mental link.)

Jack, what the hell is going on?

[Oracle]

Christina ran down the stairs in time to see Jack and some girl she didn't know run out of the front office. The look on Jack's face told her that something was wrong. She followed them into the kitchen and met up with Ave and the kids.

Christina: Jack, what's going on?

[Mindcontrol]

(Jack was about to explain when Tiffany walked into the kitchen. She had that confused face that everyone had. Though you could tell that she had been sleeping all day.)

Mindcontrol: Well it's good to see that everyone is currently present. We have an emergency. Someone triggered an alarm out in the woods. I managed to capture the figure on camera. Count, it's Count. He's some where out in the woods. It looks like he's here to take Sara back.

[Oracle]

Instantly Christina was worried. Count was dangerous, and if he helped Sara escaped then the two would be nearly instoppable.

Christina: Oh shi..... shoots.

Christina almost forgot there were kids in the kitchen.

[Amy, Ave., Tiff., Stiff.]

(Avriletta's eyes widen hearing the news. She quickly looked at Tiffany. Tiffany's face was hard to read. She had already been attacked by Count and almost died by her battle wounds. Her sister Emily was also taken by him. Avriletta knew that she had a personal vendetta against Count. Avriletta turned to Jack.)

Avriletta: You're in charge Jack. What's the plan?

[Mindcontrol]

(The moment Jack found out it was Count, Jack had already formed a plan of action in his head.)

Mindcontrol: The first thing we need to do is take the kids to the Hidden Room. It's a safe room that wasn't included in the original blue prints of the mansion. It should be safe enough for the kids, but I need someone to stay in the Hidden Room to protect them should Count appear. Tiffany, I'm placing you in charge of the kids.

Tiffany: What? Why me?

Mindcontrol: You're still recovering from your last encounter with Count. I don't think you are in any condition to fight. You'll only be endangering yourself.

Tiffany: WHAT!?! Jack, you got to be kidding me. You think I can't handle him myself. How dare you even undermine my abilities as a...

Mindcontrol: Plus, you could use the mansion's defense systems in the Hidden Room.

Tiffany: And what does that entail?

Mindcontrol: You get to control the big guns.

Tiffany: We have guns?

Mindcontrol: Yes.

(Tiffany stopped and smiled to herself.)

Tiffany: Oh... Alright, I'm in. I'll control the big guns... for the children.

(Jack smiled at Tiffany's cooperation. He then turned to Moon.)

Mindcontrol: I know this is all sounds crazy and new to you, but there isn't much time to explain at the moment. Count is a very dangerous man. We are all in danger. Right now, I don't know how well you can defend yourself. Usually we don't allow anyone to fight alongside of us, unless they have been tested in the Danger Room first. I want to ask you if you are a capable enough fighter to defend yourself and others if necessary. If not, do you wish to stay with Tiffany in the Hidden Room? You're new and I don't want to endanger your safety in any way. Whatever choice you make, you'll be of some use to us.

[Moon]

(I was thinking about what Jack said and decided that I could help in the fighting area. Plus I really did want to be useful in some way)

"I will help you guys fight."

(I let my black leopard side take over completely, for it would comoflouge me in the darkness outside and I might be able to take the person by supprise.)

Before anybody could blink standing beside Jack was a big black leopard with gold eyes. I blinked at Jack and sent a thought.

"I can't talk in this form, but I will be much more of use then in my human form. Whats the plan?"

I just started at him then looked at everyone else.

*Sorry about the hold up. Life got in the way*

[Mindcontrol]

(Jack nodded at Elizabeth's choice. He then turned to look at the rest of the group.)

Mindcontrol: Here's the plan. Avriletta, Moon, and I will be outside on the lockout for Count. Tiffany will give us cover with the Mansion's defenses. And Christina, I need you downstairs in the subbasement outside the detention center. If Count makes it through us, I'll give you a warning beforehand to let Liz out. You two will be our last defense.

(With Liz being in her unstable, Christina and himself knew the consequences of what could happen. Jack looked at Christina with a strong look, to make sure she got the order.)

[Oracle]

Christina listened to the intent of the situation. But then Jack mentioned about her releasing Liz. Instantly, the knot in her stomach tightened.

Christina: What?!

Christina noticed the strong look in Jack's eyes, so she kept her mouth shut. That and the fact that no one really knew about Nur inside of Liz, she sent the rest of her doubts telepathically to Jack.

Christina: Are you insane? You want me, to release Liz if Count breaks through? What if Nur takes over again? You want two evil people unleashed, three if they get Sara out? Need I remind you, Nur is the reason that I was KILLED over a year ago?!

[Mindcontrol]

(Jack received Christina's mental doubts and they were loud and clear. The sharp look in Jack's eyes intensified as he looked at Christina. However, the sound of Jack's mental voice was calm.)

I understand your concerns, but right now we are going to need all the help we can get. Count's powers grow ever stronger as the night progresses. If he manages to free Sara, we are in deep water. I know what he's capable of. That is why we need to do everything we can to keep him away from Sara. Letting Liz out is a risk I'm willing to make.

[Oracle]

Christina met Jack's stare with a glare of her own, to clearly show that she was not happy about the plan. But in order to avoid another telepathic argument and to not undermine Jack in front of the others, Christina gritted her teeth and complied.

Christina: Fine! I'll do it.

Things were going to get hectic very fast, so immediately Christina left the kitchen and headed for the subbasement.

[Moon]

I watched the tension between Jack and Christiana and wondered what all that was about, but before she could say anything mentaly, Christiana stormed out and to the subbasement.

Deciding that enough time had been wasted I sent a mental thought to Jack

*Where do you want me outside? I was thinking about taking the back yard and hiding in the trees. Might be able to get a drop on him. You know leopards are very good at hiding. Especially black ones.*

[Mindcontrol]

(Jack agreed with Elizabeth. It seemed like a good stragety. Jack returned a mental thought of his own.)

Alright sounds like a plan.

(Jack then sent a mental message to both Avriletta and Elizabeth.)

Ave. Elizabeth will stay in cover in the tress while you take the skies. I'll cover the grounds on foot. Be vigilant you two. Stay in contact with me mentally if you see anything. We don't know how else is out there. I'm going to take Tiffany and the kids to the Hidden Room. Let's go!

(Jack turned around to Tiffany.)

Mindcontrol: Time to go.

(Tiffany nodded and walked ovr to the door. Jack went over to the kids, who were all standing away from the initial group, wondering what was going on.)

Mindcontrol: Alright kids, follow me. Don't be scared everything will be alright

(Jack then led Tiffany and the kids to the front office.)

[Moon]

I slunk out of the kitchen keeping the dark areas so I wouldn't be seen.

The great thing about being a leopard is the night vison, I thought to myself

I found the door to the backyard and slowly made my way out into the darkness.
