The lights came on inside the infirmary as Christina and Kitty walked in. Christina sat on top one of the tables as Kitty gathered the supplies. Lockheed sat near Christina as she patted his head. Kitty set the supplies on the cart beside the table and began to look at the wounds more closely.
Kitty: This doesn't look too good. It looks like the burns are starting to scar but it may be adhering your uniform to your skin.
Christina: Thanks for putting that gently.
Kitty: We need to remove it. Can you pull your uniform off?
Christina tried to remove the top of her uniform. She had managed to pull it over her head, but as Kitty suggested, the uniform began to pull on the skin of her arms. Christina winced slightly. Kitty held the sleeves of Christina's uniform and managed to phase the uniform out.
Christina: Thanks.
Kitty nodded her head as she went to the closet and grabbed a jacket from Christina to cover herself with. Christina zipped up the jacket and pulled the sleeves up so Kitty could continue to treat the wounds.
Kitty: So what happened at the Sovereigns' base?
Christina: Sara's a basketcase that's for sure. There were dozens of people there with the same headbands on. It was awful; there were kids and adults alike. Sara mainly tortured Jack, and when I tried to help him, she would take a shot at me.
Kitty: What happened to the other people?
Christina: Before they left for the UN, Sara instructed the others to clear out the base. I have a pretty good guess what she meant by that.
Kitty was finishing wrapping Christina's arms as Christina thought about everything that had taken place over the past hours. Jack was captured and later so was she. Innocent people all over town were killed. Hearing news that Chris was alive. The attack at the UN. The battle against the Sovereigns. Actually seeing Chris alive again. So many wounds were substained today. How much time would it take to heal them all? Christina was pulled out of her thoughts when Kitty spoke.
Kitty: Well, that's should do for now. Once a day, it would be best to change those bandages. Now, let's go head upstairs and see how things went for the others here.
Christina: I think I'm just going straight for my room and try to get some sleep. I'll see everyone tomorrow.
Christina hopped off the table and exited the room without waiting to hear anything else from Kitty. Kitty cleared away the supplies and then headed upstairs with Lockheed at her side to see how the others were doing.
